Bearing Calculators: L10 Life, Loads & Static Safety

Calculate bearing L10 life, equivalent dynamic and static loads, required dynamic rating, static safety factor, and variable-duty equivalent load.

Should you calculate bearing load, life, or static safety?

Derive equivalent dynamic load P before calculating basic L10 life or the dynamic rating C needed for a target life. Use the variable-duty tool when load and speed change in discrete repeating segments. Static loading follows a separate path: derive P₀, then compare it with C₀. Obtain ratings and load factors from the exact bearing manufacturer data; basic life is not an actual service-life guarantee.

Before you use the result

  1. Use radial and axial loads with product-specific X and Y factors to obtain P. Do not replace the catalog relationship with a vector resultant.
  2. For a life calculation, enter the correct ball or roller bearing type, verified rating C, equivalent load P, and operating speed.
  3. Check static safety, speed limits, lubrication, contamination, mounting, and application conditions separately before selecting a bearing.
